Three years of waiting, it deserved two nights online. So I was with Malajube @ La Tulipe once but twice this week. Here is what emerges:
- At launch, they played at full Mazes and kept the "old" songs for the reminder. Exercise which is clearly highlighted the divide between the new and old (although I find it difficult to qualify for the former since I do not think they are totally moved on). Labyrinths, although dense, is more sedate, more complete (or refined?) And this show feels.
- At the "first real show" last night, my main curiosity was within the mixture of genres that should be made between the parts of the new album and precedents. Mix well managed in my opinion, even if one feels that the tone is more accurate in older works as new where Julien is still seeking his voice a little.
- In both cases we have had full sight and ears. The sound is powerful and energetic. The best is definitely coming for the rest of the tour and I try to resist the urge to buy tickets for March 25. What to see and hear, absolutely.
- I also want to throw you my favorite album of the last: Casablanca .
- Finally, on a more "editorial" who thinks to bring a beach ball for a show room? In a crowd of 10,000 people, summer is cute, but in a small room is much more distracting than anything else. We lose the feeling of being totally absorbed by music.
